Stockland Mini Competition for Primary Schools

A fun competition where you can let your imaginations run wild!

The MINI GARDEN Competition encourages children as a class or school to have fun in creating their own “ Mini

There are three categories:       

Kindergarten to Year 2 — Rainbow

Year 3 to Year 4 — Edible

Year 5 to Year 6 — Fragrant Garden

Judging is based on criteria such as design, creativity and originality.  

Schools will receive cash prizes, and the winning schools of each section an excursion for thirty students to the Hunter Valley Gardens, and the winner of the Fragrant Garden Section will also win a Worm Farm donated by the Newcastle Community Green Centre.

The winning class in each section will receive an excursion to Hunter Valley

Developed by local teachers, the Hunter Valley Gardens Education Program encompasses 98 syllabus outcomes drawn from 6 different subject areas. It is based around a 60-acre display garden, with 12 distinctly different areas and provides an interesting, engaging and educational day out for both students and teachers.
