Showjumping
All events are conducted under F.E.I/EA Rules
RULES
To compete in official Showjumping Classes, all horses must be registered with the Equestrian Australia, with the exception of the Junior Jumping Events and Non Grading [unofficial] Height Classes below 1.05m.
Competitors are advised that all Showjumping nominations must include the name and EA. Reg. Certificate No. of each horse entered - failure will result in the elimination of the horse or horses from the contest.
Note: Competitors shall at all times compete at their own risk and sign the included Waiver or entries will not be accepted.
GENERAL RULES
1. All competitors must wear a coat, shirt and tie or stock, and approved headgear.
2. Whips must have a leather keeper at least 5 cm long and 2cm wide and must not exceed 60cm in length, excluding the leather keeper.
3. Spurs other than dummy spurs not exceeding 2cm in length are not permitted.
4. Riders in any jumping contest are limited to 3 mounts in any one contest.
5. Riders will be permitted to “Walk the Course” to make an examination of the course and obstacles prior to the commencement of the jumping contest concerned.
